Friends of Chamber Music of Miami aims to host and participate in educational and community engagement activities for people of all ages. With a goal of enhancing world-class classical music experiences in South Florida, we are building programming that is more broadly accessible, compelling to audiences less familiar with classical music, and to contribute and enhance learning opportunities.

Schools & Faith-Based Institutions
FOCM is dedicated to extending our programs beyond concerts to be more accessible and influential in the South Florida community. While our core series already reflects many of the hallmarks of accessibility, we are encouraging and requesting artists participate in additional programs that will be conducted at education and faith-based institutions adjacent to their contracted performances.
Performance in
Public Places
Leveraging partnerships with public spaces and local businesses such as hotels and restaurants, FOCM will be introducing pop-up performances open to the general public.
Publicly Available Lectures
Many of FOCM artists are published authors and recognized experts. Partnering with local bookstores, community centers and venues, we are providing fun, informative and profound insights from some of the greatest minds in the music industry.
Master Classes for
Emerging Artists
FOCM’s master classes have offered exceptionally important opportunities to the next generations of classical musicians to learn from world-class artists in environments that provide interactive instruction, real-time feedback, and live demonstrations.
