Pianist Benjamin Grosvenor offers a thrilling preview of his upcoming Carnegie Hall program. This recital includes Chopin’s stormy Sonata No. 2, Ravel’s devilishly difficult Gaspard de la Nuit, and Mussorgsky’s powerful Pictures at an Exhibition.

  • Frédéric Chopin: Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat Minor

  • Maurice Ravel: Gaspard de la nuit

  • Modest Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition

Benjamin Grosvenor (piano)

British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor has an acclaimed international career as a soloist and chamber musician, which is reflected in his extensive discography on Decca Classics. During the 2024/2025 season Benjamin makes his debut with the NHK Symphony/Paavo Jarvi, Bamberger Symphoniker and Dallas Symphony Orchestras. Benjamin also returns to Boston/Andris Nelsons, Montreal and Bern Symphony Orchestras and plays a UK tour with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Andrey Boreyko. As a featured artist at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, he performs with both orchestra and in solo recital.  Other recital performances this season include Tokyo, Shanghai, Berlin and the Wigmore Hall in London.”
